Ryan Haddix - Week 5

  1. I really like the fact that you kind of focus on one subject but in different places, from different angles/perspectives, and doing different actions. This creates nice contrast from photo to photo while still maintaining a nice narrative.

  2. All of these have varying interesting angles of Kylee that I think work well together. My favorite is definitely the bread photo, though. I had to stare at for a minute before realizing it was the back of a truck. I think the size difference between the license plate and the bread is very interesting, and that this sort of concept is something you could keep pushing.

  3. I really like the bread photo on its own but it's the only one that doesn't include Kylee in some way so it doesn't seem to fit in with the others. The varying angles and points of view in the photos of Kylee are interesting.

  4. The first photo captured movement and action well and has a strong composition. I also really like the symmetry and the surprised "troll" pose of photo seven.

  5. I like the general sense of movement that you achieved through variation of different angles and perspectives as it had been already mentioned. It also took me a while to realize what is actually captured in the 5th photo.

  6. The first photo is awesome and shows that you definitely knew how to control your camera in order to capture that sense of quick motion. I like how you had a constant subject matter throughout the seemingly random settings but in very fractured ways. The way kylee pops off the background in the last photo due to how bright she is comparatively is very interesting.

  7. Your focal points in most of these pictures are very apparent and your compositions very nice. I think that the legs in photo six put onto the bread would capture the true identity of your subject.

  8. The 5th picture could benefit from more contrast, but otherwise all of your pictures have nice levels. I like the analogy of the legs to the foundation of the houses.

  9. The concept of Kylee pointing her camera back at you is interesting, and juxtaposes who is the photographer. Her placement in all of the compositions is successful.
