The darkness of this scene really helped produce some dynamic pictures. The shadows and directional light are cool and dramatic. And the event itself is very interesting, so over all, great set of photos. I wish the 5th photo down had similar exposure to the first photo, I think compositionally that one might be the strongest.
Really enjoying the drama in these. The contrast of light and dark, the dynamic poses and compositions make these feel very dramatic and mysterious. These have a mood to them that's consistent throughout.
You captured action and emotion really well throughout your images and the contrast is stunning in these photos. Photo ten stands out to me, the way the lines cut through the composition horizontally and vertically make it so compelling to me, as well as the dramatic shadow on the ball makes this one of the strongest images. Your set of photos are really cohesive and successfully captured the essence of the events that occurred.
The 4th image is definitely my favorite. You captured the energy of the event and I actually feel like I am there. I also like this almost gradient effect that hits the subject's faces.
The use of a placed light at night gives this collection a unique look. The lighting seems to allow for some higher contrast images to produce a more dramatic nighttime effect.
The use of light gives really dynamic effect to the photos linking them in the thematic context as well. Photo 4 is especially appealing as it passes a unique energy to the viewer through the strong juxtaposition of light and darkness.
These are so interesting! Shot number three is my favorite since the lighting creates such interesting linework throughout the image. You did a very good job capturing emotion and a story in the middle of the night. I also really appreciate how you went out of your way to find a unique event to capture
Creating a dramatization through using the light was really successful in these photos. Your main focus was on a certain story and can be seen through all of these. The second and forth photos look like they could use a bit more contrast, as the rest of the photos have such a strong light source.
Really nice job with capturing the uniqueness of this event. I think the photos that focus more on little moments (like photos 4,6, and 10) are the strongest because it gives us more insight on the people at this event and the mood of the event.
