Claire Glenn week 7

  1. You display texture really well through some of these, specifically photos 1, 2, and 5. I think your 7th photo could be enhanced by finding a better angle to shoot at. The light in the sign is interesting, so maybe getting really close to it to show the intersecting tubes would add some depth.

  2. Your images are extremely crisp and have a nice range of values and contrast. I think a tighter composition in some of your photos would benefit the images by adding question to what the viewer is looking at.

  3. I really enjoy the abstraction that starts to happen in the close-ups. Since the first six are pretty tight compositions, the seventh seems a little out of place to me. Contrast is a really strong element throughout and the framing is strong as well.

  4. These images feel intimate in the way most of them are so close up. You captured light really well throughout, I see many elements of design in your images, like contrast, leading lines, and repetition. The images don't seem to be thematically or conceptually connected to each other, maybe you could consider creating a narrative or making your images more cohesive in some way.

  5. The cropping and framing in your photos are tight and well done. I enjoy the personal closeness in these photos. If all of the top 10 images were close up I think it would help benefit your narrative, images 10 and 6 seem out of place.

  6. the experimentation you used is very interesting especially in the fourth and fifth photos. The seventh photo could perhaps take more of a diagonal direction in the lines created and the tenth photo is a bit flat and static. Perhaps shooting the window at a different angle would help

  7. Image number 5 is really interesting. Image number 10 benefit from a similar shooting method.

  8. The texture as well as the general composition of image 5 is really appealing to the eye. There is a nice ongoing sense of repetition throughout the collection.

  9. Depth of field was utilized really well to capture texture, especially in the 5th picture. You feature a lot of high contrast but the first picture could benefit from more white values.
