The extreme close up images mixed with the nice contrast in value make for more interesting compositions. I think you could've played more with balance, especially in your last image. Your use of symmetry during this week also was super successful.
Your images were really strong this week, I can pin point a design element in every photo. The series as a whole has nice contrast and nice compositions. I saw all the elements except for balance.
The photo of Kyla feels very out of place amongst your abstract shots. Maybe if you tightened the composition and upped the contrast really heavily it would flow better? But right now it just feels like a candid portrait amongst these really interesting shots.
I love your use of high contrast in these and think it brings all of these together as a cohesive collection. Photos 8 & 10 are a bit disconnected, but the rest compliment each other well. Some of your photos are blurry, so just keep trying to tackle focusing correctly. Your repetition photos are working the most for me.
The high contrast images are very effective. As it has already been mentioned your close-ups combined with the use of external light source create very interesting compositions. Photo 8 seems to be a little out of the whole collection in that sense.

ReplyDeleteI like your use of artificial light. I think you did much better with contrast this week but image number 2 is a little blown out.
