These photos are awesome! The highlights on the skin bring out all of the textures on the skin. The model's fair skin stands out really well against the dark ground and background. There is also a nice transition from photo to photo.
I think the thematic connection between these photos and how it stands out is truly amazing. Photos 4, 7, 10 are my favorite ones because of the smooth texture and contrasting value range.
This is a nice set of photos, that's pretty cohesive. It feels like there's a bit of a disconnect between the two shoots. I would have alternated the images (white clothes, black clothes, white clothes, etc). I do think image six kind of works as a bridge between the two sets, but maybe that connection should be pushed further.
Your first three photos are very similar and I think you would have benefitted from just choosing one or two from this pose as it sort of detracts from your other shots which are absolutely beautiful. Even the way you arranged it in your post with the final photo being her hand lying in the grass. They’re very whimsical and have a great value range.
I agree that these are a great set of photos. You seem to capture things like water and textures really clearly with your lense. You will have to teach me how to get the contrast you get. the 4th photo has a cut off limp in the composition. It would be nice if it weren't cut off, but is not a huge deal.
You captured the lighting on the water very nicely. The shimmer adds a lot of mood, and sort of reminds me of a Sophia Coppola movie. I think you used the design elements really well too, especially symmetry and balance.
Sam, Very impressive photos this week. Your theme is clear. Your compositional elements are clear. The planning you put into your images before shooting is clear and your post production editing is clear. Great use of contrast, depths of field, space, perspective and the change in subject matter in your photos is good. I agree with your peers that some images can be repetitive, however a way to get around that is editing the second image to look different to the first. Kashif
